Schwerte lies on the Ruhr in the district of Unna, at the threshold from the Ruhr region to the Sauerland and bordering directly on Dortmund. Our fully equipped crew apartment is on Rosenweg, with private parking and a quiet location. For assembly teams, what counts here is the Ergste commercial estate, the Westhofener Kreuz and the direct rail connection to Dortmund. Ergste commercial estate and industry
Schwerte has strong manufacturing. In the Ergste commercial estate are Zapp (precision metal), J.D. Theile (chain systems) and the pharmaceutical wholesaler Noweda with its logistics, among others. Add to that GMH Guss Automotive, Hoesch Schwerter Profile, ültje and Motip Dupli. For workers, this results in lasting demand in production, maintenance and logistics.
Westhofener Kreuz within the Schwerte city limits
Within the Schwerte city limits, on the border with Dortmund, the A1 and A45 cross at the Westhofener Kreuz, around ten kilometres south of Dortmund city centre. Via the Schwerte (A1) and Schwerte-Ergste (A45) junctions and the B236 to Iserlohn, the van is quickly on the motorway and in Dortmund.
RB53 direct to Dortmund
Schwerte (Ruhr) station is a junction. There is no S-Bahn stop here, but instead the RB53 (Ardey-Bahn) runs directly to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof via Dortmund-Hörde; add to that the RE7, RE13 and RE17 towards Hagen, Unna and Hamm. So the train is enough to reach Dortmund.

Private parking is available at our apartment on Rosenweg. For the local job, the city of Schwerte additionally issues an exemption permit under Paragraf 46 StVO, in part as a Ruhr region parking permit, which lets company vehicles park in parking, no-stopping and residents' parking zones without a time limit.

It lets company vehicles park in parking, no-stopping and residents' parking zones without a time limit, but not at the business's registered address; the fee is 150 euros for the Arnsberg district, plus 25 euros per further district. At our apartment itself, private parking is available.
